Castles preschool in Chico CA offers a variety of programs. Our infant center includes ages 0-2 years, and allows children to explore through play, stories, and painting.
In our 2′s and 3′s room, children learn through many teacher directed activities related to simple math, science, and language concepts. Circle time, stories, songs, and outside play allow your child to grow. We also provide potty training that is worked into the scheduled day to be fun and exciting, which allows children to train more easily. Our 4′s and 5′s room includes building on math, science, and language using new Pre- K activities. When children leave this room, they are ready for Kindergarten.
After School Program
We also offer before and after school care for Kindergartener’s and School Age Children, with transportation provided to and from school.
In addition to the above mentioned, we are also on the state food program and serve healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks each day. We are a year round school and have summer care for all ages. Our summer school age program is planned to have many field trips throughout the summer. It is very important to us to care for our families the best we can, and to have open communication with parents regarding each child’s day. Every teacher here is dedicated to what they do and love caring for and watching each child grow. If you would like more information, don’t hesitate to contact us at 892-2273, or just stop by!

I used to volunteer in my daughters Kindergarten class and decided to further my career in Child Development since I loved working in the classroom. I went to Butte College to get my units. I have worked at several daycares in Chico because I enjoy working with children and watching them grow. I took the position at Castles because it was a full time opportunity that came up. I love my working environment, my co-workers, and the families that we have. It is a very positive place to be & I’m glad to have this opportunity.
Welcome to Castles Preschool, my name is Miss Farron. I am a recent addition to the Pre – Kindergarten classroom as of October 2015. I hold a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Butte College and I also work at another preschool site, teaching Pre – K in the town of Paradise, as of this year. I am continuing my education to earn my AA Degree in ECE. In 2010, I had the most amazing experience working with families as a Site Coordinator at the Bald Rock Children’s Center, in the town of Berry Creek. This grant – funded program was called, “The Incredible Years”, which allowed parents to gain a better understanding of early childhood development. This program was funded in part by First 5. I assisted the group facilitator in providing organizational support for parent group meetings, distributed meals for families attending the meetings, and provided supervision for preschool children while instructing fun, creative educational activities for large groups. Emotional literacy, conflict resolution and play are key components that I pay close attention to as a teacher. I want to guide my children to be successful in everything they do and most importantly I want them to develop a healthy self-esteem and self-worth.
